Theft and sequestration at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, 2 million euros of damage

The owners of the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte, near Paris, were sequestered in the night from Wednesday to Thursday and the thieves left with a booty estimated around 2 million euros, said the floor of Melun.

The facts took place shortly before dawn in this castle of the seventeenth century presented as the model of the Palace of Versailles, said the floor. The owners have been tied up, according to a police source, but do not show any injuries. The judicial police of Versailles is seized of the investigation.
