On Wednesday, Valdemarsvik Municipality received threats directed at the school's activities in the area. The threats were transmitted via handwritten letters, according to information to Aftonbladet, and the municipality has today closed the schools. But the police's assessment of the threat is that schools do not need to be kept closed.
- We are seriously considering the formulation of threats, but we do not consider that there is an imminent risk that this will become a reality, says Åsa Willsund, press officer at the Eastern Police Region, to Aftonbladet.
The police announce via their website that "they understand that people may feel uneasy and will therefore be present in Valdemarsvik".
