An important part of the prosecutor's evidence consisted of the photos the woman herself took of injuries to her body and then sent to friends via social media.

With the help of them and witnesses who told about injuries and other details they saw in connection with when the abuse should have occurred, the court considers that the prosecutor was able to prove eleven cases of abuse. According to the district court, several of the acts are serious and have involved, among other things, strangulation and violence against the head.

The woman reported several times that she had been subjected to violence and also lived in sheltered housing for about a week.

The man who is convicted of his refusal must also pay damages of just over SEK 70,000 to the woman.
