Earlier, State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said the United States was expelling two employees of the Cuban Permanent Mission to the UN. According to her, diplomats "engaged in activities detrimental to US national security."
The State Department also announced that employees of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations are prohibited from traveling around the country and traveling outside the Manhattan area in New York due to the alleged involvement of two Cuban diplomats “in operations of influence”.
