“The law on special status, changes to the constitution, the law on amnesty, what is stipulated in the Minsk agreements - yes, this is a compromise, but it is necessary to end such a difficult conflict,” Boyko said.

The deputy also stated the need for Kiev to form a clear official position.

According to him, the contradictory statements made by various representatives of the authorities, "one way or another" participating in the peace talks, are "frankly alarming."

“We need to enter into direct negotiations with representatives of unrecognized republics under the guarantees of Russia,” he concluded.

Earlier, Boyko called for negotiations on gas transit through Ukraine.
