State at the forefront of climate warfare

A new escalation in the war between climate-skeptical President Donald Trump and California who is at the forefront of the fight for climate. The Clean Air Act dates back to the 1970s. This derogation was signed by two Republicans: President Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan then governors of California. At the time, it was to free Los Angeles of its smog smog. So this summer, when the Trump administration decides to soften the Obama administration's obligations to the auto industry to limit greenhouse gases, California refuses all clean under the Clean Air Act, with in its thirteen other States.

This is the beginning of yet another standoff, which this time raises the question of the limits of American federalism and should therefore be resolved before the United States Supreme Court. " We can not afford to go back in our fight against global warming, " warns California's attorney general.
