“I think that the statement of the head of the Ukrainian foreign ministry indicates that the sanctions regime imposed by the West against Russia does not bring the initiators of these restrictive measures the proper results,” Mezyuho noted.

The political scientist also added that this statement is due to the fact that interest in Ukraine in the world is gradually dying away.

“I think this statement should be regarded as an act of despair. I think that the task of the new Minister of Foreign Affairs is to remind his country to the international community and the so-called Western partners, ”he concluded.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Pristayko, in an interview with the German newspaper Welt, said that it was difficult for the West to support anti-Russian sanctions.
