September 18, 2019Matteo Renzi brings Viva 13 senators to Italy, upsetting the balance not only of the Dem group, but also of the Madama palace commissions. In fact, the current Democratic Minister for Agricultural Policies, Teresa Bellanova, leaves the Democratic Party as head of the government of the Renzians and was a member of the Industry Committee. In the Finance Committee, on the other hand, there are 3 Renzians who change their tunic: Francesco Bonifazi, Eugenio Comincini, Leonardo Grimani.

The Sardinian MP Giuseppe Cucca is a member of the Justice Commission, while Davide Faraone is in Constitutional Affairs. The other new entries are: Nadia Ginetti who is in charge of European Union policies (XIV commission); Ernesto Magorno in the Agriculture Commission; Laura Garavini, vice president of defense; the Piedmontese Mauro Maria Marino, a 'key' man in the process of budgetary laws at Palazzo Madama, is instead the vice president of the Budget committee; Daniela Sbrollini, member of the Agriculture and bicameral committee on regional issues; Valeria Sudano is a member of both the Environment and the Antimafia. Donatella Conzatti, a member of the Finance Commission and the one against Femicide, comes from the ranks of the Forces.

"In the moment in which we make the commitment to guarantee that the legislature arrives at least until the election of the President of the Republic, in 2022, we will not do those that make the daily countermelody", assures to the microphones of Rai Radio3, Matteo Renzi that confirms the intention to present the symbol of Italia Viva alla Leopolda. While waiting to learn about the symbol, the name "Italia Viva" has already sparked quite a few controversies since it is the same that the former secretary, Dem Walter Veltroni, used in the 2008 election campaign when the Democratic Party (37.55%) lost the elections against the PDL (46.81%) of Silvio Berlusconi. The word "Italia Viva", in large white letters on a light green background, appeared on the bus with which Veltroni traveled around Italy.

"I will not attend the tables - explains Renzi - but there will be a secretary or leader. They will decide in the next few days. But if my presence is considered cumbersome, let it be known that I did not do this operation to sit around a table".

"Hard comment from former Dem secretary Pierluigi Bersani:" From Renzi, only old strategy, he wants a personal party "
