The updated Strategic Plan (2023 - 2019) was approved by the Higher Committee for Strategic Planning and Institutional Development at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, chaired by the Director General and Chairman of the RTA Board of Directors, Mattar Al Tayer.

Al Tayer said that updating the strategic objectives is in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and HH Sheikh Maktoum bin His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, focuses on looking ahead, adopting strategic projects that support the economy, and working to achieve prosperity and happiness for the community and visitors of the Emirate of Dubai.

He stressed that the Authority has updated its strategic plan, in line with the national agenda, the Dubai Plan for 2021, and global and future directions in the field of transport and roads, as well as the directions and goals related to the eight principles of Dubai, the document of the fifty, and the mission of the season plan. The aim of Dubai Integration is to improve integration between transport planning and urban planning, and to make transport systems and roads friendly to all.

He added that the strategy promotes the integration of mass transport, the goal of “happiness of the people”, which aims to achieve leadership in the happiness of people, and promote social responsibility, and the goal of “the flow of mobility for all”, which includes promoting joint mobility and mass transit, and developing and improving the network and systems and smart sustainable solutions for roads. Transportation, management of traffic congestion requirements, and the development of effective transport and road legislation and policies.
