American politician Ilhan Omar: "Greta influences young people to become leaders"

Ilhan Omar believes that Greta Thunberg has influenced the way Americans view climate change.

- It is important that we see young people who are active. That they not only wait for their chance to lead, but also lead and understand that they have the power to influence their future, says Omar.

Omar herself has a daughter who is a climate activist, who she says has been inspired by people like Greta Thunberg.

- Greta not only influences world leaders, but also young people to become leaders, says Omar.

She says she agrees with Thunberg that politicians must listen to the phishing.

"I hope my Republican colleagues will eventually listen to what she says, not just listen to opinions coming from themselves," Omar says.
