The money the government is now allocating in its budget for next year does not cover the real costs in the long run, says Lars Rosander (C):

- We set up and do everything we can. Then the state should also fully compensate us.

In the budget presented by the government today, it is clear that eight municipalities in Kronoberg and Kalmar receive between 1.5 and 3.3 million extra for receiving many new arrivals in relation to their population. Emmaboda at least with 1.5 million, Hultsfred from most with 3.3 million.

20 million would have been reasonable

According to Lars Rosander (C), 20 million would have been a more reasonable amount compared to the actual costs of, above all, childcare and school. SFI programs are also a major expense item.

- We have built up a large organization for the reception, he says, and when many new arrivals have received a residence permit, the Migration Board has also stopped to bear certain costs. For example, we now have costs for school modules of ten million that we were forced to take over from the Swedish Migration Board.
