According to the source, it will only take a few weeks for the energy company Saudi Aramco to be able to produce oil to the same extent as before the weekend's drone attack, Reuters writes.

The attack knocked out half of Saudi Arabia's oil production or five percent of global production. This meant that oil prices rose sharply on Monday when the stock exchange opened after the weekend.

The price rages on new information

As of Tuesday, production had risen to nearly 70 percent, according to Reuters. Later that day, oil prices plummeted after reports that Saudi Arabia's oil production will return to normal faster than expected.

Saudi Arabia has soon recovered 70 percent of the 5.7 million barrels a day that weekend attacks destroyed, according to Reuters.

The Saudi energy minister will hold a press conference at 6 pm, Swedish time, to provide an official update on the situation following the drone attack on their Abqaiq and Khurais facilities.
