The General Directorate of Saudi Passports stressed in a statement to Saudi citizens on Tuesday, the importance of the employer to cancel the visa in case he does not know the place of the sponsored.

The Directorate received, through its official account on the site «Twitter» on Tuesday, a query on the lack of knowledge of the employer's place of the sponsored, after the issuance of the visa and the continuation of the stay of residence, and grant the worker all his entitlements, and the extent of legal responsibility for this.

The General Directorate of Saudi Passports responded that "the employer is fully responsible for any expatriate entering the Kingdom on his record," noting that "if the resident is granted a final exit visa, the employer must follow up on a guaranteed departure and not only grant the visa, and if the residence of the sponsored is not known, "He has to cancel the visa and register an escape report."

The Directorate General of Passports, explained the measures taken to register the escape of domestic workers, so that the employer hands over the fugitive passport to the management of expatriates 90 days after the registration of the communication.

The passports set the conditions that are verified during the registration of the absence report, including that the residence permit is valid, and the report is only once for each sponsored, and absenteeism can not be canceled from the Absher program, but by reviewing the management of expatriates within 15 days from the date of the report. There shall be a final exit visa issued to the worker. If it exceeds 15 days, it shall not be permanently canceled and the resident shall be referred to the watch list, deported and prevented from entering the Kingdom.
