In Senegal, a canoe capsized Monday night off Dakar because of heavy seasonal rains. The boat was carrying tourists on an excursion to the Magdalen Islands. The balance is four deaths. The 35 survivors, of different nationalities, spent the night on the island and were evacuated this morning.
It was around 8 pm that we were alerted. We knew that it had rained a lot, that there was swell.
