Ajax Amsterdam outclassed Lille 3-0 at home on Tuesday in Group H for their first Champions League match of the season, five months after their semi-final lost to Tottenham following a remarkable European campaign.
Promes (18th), Alvarez (50th) and Tagliafico (50th) scored at the Johan Cruyff Arena to blow Lille, dominated by the speed of the game Amsterdam, for his return to the group stage of C1 after seven years of absence. A few hours before the match, more than 300 Lille fans had been arrested for violence and disruption of public order.
