Christophe Castaner announced Tuesday the creation of a new office called "Ofast" which will be leading the fight against drug trafficking as part of a new anti-narcotics plan presented in Marseille with three other members of the government.

This new structure replaces the Central Office for the Suppression of the Illegal Drug Trafficking (Ocrtis) whose reputation has been tainted by scandals. Ofast "will coordinate the action of all actors in the fight against narcotics at local and national level", according to Mr. Castaner and will associate for the first time in its governance, police, gendarmerie, customs and magistrates.
