American rock band active in the 1980s, “Cars” vocal, Rick Okeisek, passed away at home in New York City on the 15th. I was 75 years old.
According to local police, the rock band “Cars” vocalist and guitarist Rick Okeysek was found unconscious in his home in Manhattan, New York, after which death was confirmed.
Okaysek is from Baltimore, Maryland, eastern USA, and formed Cars in 1976.
A number of hit songs such as “Drive” and “You Might Sync” were released to the world and became a popular rock band representing the 1980s.
The band broke up once in 1988, and Okaysek was active as a producer of the popular American band “Weezer”.
In 2010, Cars re-organized, and Mr. Okaysek was a member of Cars last year and entered the “Rock Hall of Fame”.
According to local police, the cause of death is unknown, but there is no incident.
