During the meeting held at the Emirates Towers, the Board discussed the strategic plan for partnership with the private sector, which was reviewed by the Department of Finance, and the initiatives to be implemented by the Department during 2019-2021, in the presence of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council. the Council. The Strategic Affairs Council discussed the importance of enhancing the efficiency of government spending and procurement, while maintaining the smooth internal processes of government agencies, which requires a clear strategy, involving government agencies and the private sector, in order to create a clear impact as teams seeking to achieve a clear goal, the sustainability of resources. . The Dubai Smart Government Foundation reviewed the implementation of the Dubai Paperless Strategy, which aims to transform all government services and processes to 100% digital and develop integrated customer experiences on a unified platform, which is one of the main pillars in the digital transformation of smart cities.

The initial phase of the implementation of the Dubai Paperless Strategy resulted in a 57% reduction in the use of paper in internal transactions in 2018, exceeding the target set by 50%, while the second phase of the strategy targets six different axes, including new digital services, and work to reduce paper consumption by 50% in nine new government entities.
