Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday that the United States and its so-called "customers" are stuck in Yemen, blaming Iran "will not end the disaster."

"After Secretary of State (Mike) Pompeo's failure to exert" the greatest possible pressure, "he is now resorting to" the greatest possible deception, "Zarif said on Twitter. Will not end the disaster. "

"Accepting our proposal, which we put forward in April 2015 (the nuclear deal) with the aim of ending the war and launching the dialogue, could lead to an end to the disaster."

Having failed at "max pressure", @ SecPompeo's turning to "max deceit"

US & its clients are stuck in Yemen because of illusion that weapon superiority will lead to military victory.

Blaming Iran won't end disaster. Accepting our April '15 proposal to end war & begin talks may.

Pompeo blamed Iran on Saturday for a drone attack on two Saudi Aramco oil facilities, claimed by the Yemeni Houthi group, saying "Iran has now launched an unprecedented attack on world oil supplies."

His remarks drew an angry response from Tehran, whose foreign ministry spokesman, Abbas Moussavi, said: "These accusations and false and inappropriate views come in the context of a diplomatic incomprehensible and meaningless."

He said its aim was to tarnish Tehran's image and pave the way for "future actions" that might be taken against it.
