It is a war of nerves between the French and the world champion. At 10 laps from the end, Rossi's attempt was successful: Valentino passed Morbidelli and moved into fourth position. Vinales' third place is 9 seconds. Around lap 21 Vinales tries to shorten on the leading pair. Pirro and Crutchlow fall. Dovizioso's Ducati struggles a lot on the estate.

Three laps from the end, the Quartararo-Marquez duel is set on fire: the Spaniard is in the wake but the French resists. The last lap is heart-pounding: Marquez pushes Quartararo who reacts and goes against it. The Spaniard is not there and taking advantage of the top speed on the finish line, he exceeds the opponent with an extraordinary braking. The French try to recover, but the Spaniard leaves no margins, indeed Quartararo almost risks the fall in the final stretch. Vinales closes in third tranquility. Rossi closes in fourth position ahead of Morbidelli and Dovizioso. Marquez confirms himself as the greatest, but Quartararo proves to have a splendid future. Exceptional race for the Yamaha driver who led for practically 27 and a half laps.
