A walk in a residential area is nothing unusual, and something is done continuously to allow residents to show where they experience problems in the area. These can be dark areas that need lights or roads that need speed barriers.

During the security walk in the Kungsmarken in Karlskrona, some of the residents in the area came along and took the opportunity to point out their views. This included a tree that was about to fall straight over a playground, and also a walkway down to the Sunnadals school that needed new lighting.

Got his say

Ann-Christine Ottosson and Bosse Jönsson from the Tenants Association were some of the people who followed the walk. Ann-Christine is very happy in the Kungsmarken, but during the hike she wanted to take the opportunity to have some errors corrected. Among other gates that will prevent cars from driving up to the gates.

She thinks it's an advantage to patrol sometimes.

- I think it's good that there are adults in the area, says Ann-Christine Ottosson.

Compiles to the municipality

Oskar Hovbäck from the field group feels satisfied with this year's safety walk, but would have liked to see even more people taking part in the walk.

- We got many interesting angles that we will now compile to the property owners and Karlskrona municipality, he says.

He gets the picture of the residents of Kungsmarken that everyone is happy. But there are a few problems that need to be addressed.

- Lighting, bushing and traffic driving too fast. So we'll see how we can fix it, says Oskar Hovbäck.
