Her friend, florist Jessika Rodesten, had helped arrange the cultivated flowers into beautiful bouquets. They were almost sold out when SVT made a visit to a windy courtyard.

- It is very nice in harvest times to gather everything you have. Then it is a lot of tasting and it is wonderful to see what you can get here in our climate, says Karin Cedersjö.

Found his method

She has long experience in growing, but this is the first time that she has now started selling vegetables and flowers that have grown on the field in Lindbacka some distance away.

- I have grown for a year to sell, but have grown for fifteen years before that. I have tried different methods, but have found that I grow very digging-free. I cover beds and grow in such material. I leave the earth at peace and let the worms do their job, says Karin.

The method offers several advantages, she says.

- Not much water and fertilizer is needed. It is a sustainable way to grow. There are many flowers that we can grow locally. We do not need to import as much.

Flowers for our climate

Speaking of the climate debate, she thinks that our habits must change not only when it comes to food and gadgets.

- We talk a lot about organic food and production, but we also need to look at flowers. It's a bit underway again and we need to see what we can grow. We produce asters, which work well here. You have to do what you can, says Karin.

In addition to flowers, she grows vegetables that are sold to subscribing customers during the harvest season.

Is it possible to feed on this?

- I will not get rich on this, but I get to work on what I think is fun, says Karin Cedersjö.
