In Norway, several roads are closed after the first fall of the year has taken over the country.

- It has been relatively hectic here. We have many reports of large quantities of water, race and rivers that have flooded, ”Tatjana Knappen, at the Norwegian police, tells VG.

And now the storm is drawing in over Sweden.

"Windy throughout southern Sweden"

SMHI has issued a Class 1 warning for very harsh winds over the north west coast - in Gothenburg and Bohuslän.

- It is a low pressure over the Norwegian Sea that gives a lot of rainfall and heavy winds, says Emilie Hörnqvist, meteorologist at SMHI.

She continues:

- Virtually all of southern Sweden will have a windy day. But the strongest winds mainly hit the north west coast.

During Sunday morning, wind gusts of 21-24 meters per second are expected.

- It reaches its highest intensity during the morning. And then it will most likely continue to be strong winds throughout the day, says Emilie Hörnqvist.

Snow in the Lapland mountains

The Norwegian storm is also expected to cause problems in the northern Lapland mountains during Sunday morning. Both strong winds and snow are expected there. And even there, SMHI has issued a class 1 warning.

- It is also linked to the low pressure over the Norwegian sea. It is mainly on Sunday morning and morning that there is strong wind. But the Class 1 warning there is mainly because it is in connection with snow drives.

The weather, on the other hand, is expected to subside as early as Monday and not spread across the country.

- It will slowly diminish a little during the night until Monday. On Monday it will remain cloudy, but these are not very hard winds.
