Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has instructed military and security leaders to tighten security around vital sites inside Kuwait, the official Kuwaiti Cabinet account said on Twitter.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh made the remarks following a meeting between Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, a number of ministers and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Khader, Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Essam Al-Naham and a number of army and police leaders.

Al-Saleh added that Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak also ordered to take all necessary measures to preserve the security of Kuwait and the citizens and residents on its territory from any danger.

Al-Saleh said that the Kuwaiti security leaders started investigations to monitor the flight of a drone in areas on the coastal side of Kuwait City.

Al-Saleh said that the security leaders presented to the Prime Minister a report on the security situation in the region, "the latest sabotage operations of oil installations within the territory of Saudi Arabia."

And "the Chief of Staff indicated that it is in direct and continuous coordination with brothers in the Saudi armed forces and brotherly and friendly countries."

Kuwaiti newspapers, including Al-Qabas, Al-Watan, and Al-Rai, reported the news, stressing that the investigations will show what measures have been taken to confront these drones.
