The new Minister of Labor has been sitting on her post for five days when she visits the SVT Agenda to talk about how she views the Employment Service's mission with the savings and the reform that is now underway.

In March this year, she wrote a debate article in Svenska Dagbladet together with LO Chair Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson where the two expressed that it was extremely irresponsible to close offices and reduce staff before any new system is in place.

Now that she has a seat in the government - which is implementing these changes and plans to close down a hundred offices - she backs something about the importance of the offices.

- The important thing is not the physical place, but you get support when you need it. It doesn't have to be in a physical office, she says.

Irresponsibly, she does not want to call the government's policy. On the other hand, she thinks it was irresponsible for the Moderates and Christian Democrats to submit the budget that led to the savings of SEK 3 billion, which the Labor Office is now forced to implement.
