A woman of Asian nationality resisted a man of different Asian nationality who lured her to his apartment after convincing her that he could provide a job for her.He tried to rape her, managed to escape to the bathroom of the apartment and then contacted the police who attended and rescued her, according to investigations by the Dubai Public Prosecution which referred the accused to Criminal Court to begin his trial.
The 36-year-old victim said she had identified the defendant on a social network while searching for work.He offered to work for his real estate company as an intermediary.He asked her to come for a job interview and bring her to his apartment in the Jumeirah Village area after she thought it was his workplace.
After sitting with him, he was surprised by his drinking alcohol.She was worried and decided to leave the apartment, but he attacked her and caused her injuries.They raped her, but she resisted him and fled to the bathroom and contacted the police.Then she managed to escape abroad and took refuge in the security men until the police came and arrested and referred her to forensic medicine.
A witness from Dubai Police said that a report was received about the incident and he moved with his colleague.He met the victim who was crying at the reception of the building.He observed injuries to her hand and shoulder and told him what had happened with her.He carried out the procedures of arresting the accused, who denied the charge and denied his relationship with the injuries suffered by the victim.
A forensic doctor at the General Directorate of Forensic Evidence in Dubai Police said that the injuries suffered by the victim could not be fabricated on her part, but committed by another party.
