This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian parliament.

“It is being prepared for consideration with the president’s veto,” the status of the bill says.

The document with Zelensky’s proposals clarifies that the code “contains provisions that do not comply with the constitution of Ukraine and are not consistent with legislative acts that are basic in the relevant field”.

In this regard, Zelensky returned the bill with his proposals for re-consideration by the new composition of the Rada.

In May, the representative of Zelensky in the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, called the adoption of the election code one of the priority issues for the new Ukrainian leader.

The Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation refused to consider Zelensky’s initiative to move to closed party lists.
