The United Arab Emirates donated 1,000 food baskets weighing 80 tons and 800 kilograms through UAE Red Crescent teams, benefiting 5,000 people from families unable to reach the areas of Labneh and Al-Haseer and their suburbs in Doan district in Yemen's Hadramout governorate.

The beneficiaries expressed their thanks to the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the UAE Red Crescent, for its relief assistance to alleviate their suffering, through its teams that have managed to overcome the difficult roads in the areas of Labneh and Al-Haseer to help the people of the two regions.

It is worth mentioning that the number of food baskets distributed since the beginning of the year of tolerance amounted to 26,744 food baskets with a rate of 2160 tons and 915.2 kilograms, targeting 133 thousand and 720 members of the families unable in Hadramout province.

On the other hand, the UAE Red Crescent Authority handed over the local authority in Al-Mukha district in Taiz governorate, Yemen, two ambulances and new quantities of medicines to Al-Mukha General Hospital, as part of its emergency response in support of the health sector in the West Coast and all liberated directorates and governorates.

The UAE has in recent weeks increased its support for the health sector in all liberated towns and districts of the West Coast.

The Director of Humanitarian Affairs of the UAE Red Crescent Authority in Yemen, Mohammed Al-Junaibi, during the handover in the presence of the Director General of the Directorate and the leadership of the local authority - that the health sector and various sectors that affect the lives of citizens in the West Coast, and liberated governorates top of the list of UAE concerns.

Al-Junaibi said that within the UAE's ongoing health campaign in the West Coast directorates, the Red Crescent Authority attaches special importance to the health aspect, in an urgent response to the appeal of the people, to maintain the public health of Yemeni citizens.

He noted the rehabilitation of Al-Mokha General Hospital earlier to be a pivotal hospital and provided it with two ambulances, so that its crews can reach various remote areas and transport patients, in addition to providing a new shipment of medicines and laboratory solutions to enhance the free services to citizens.

Director General of Mukha Sultan Sultan expressed his thanks for the leading role played by the UAE through its humanitarian arm - the Red Crescent Authority - to support and revitalize the health sector in the Directorate to alleviate the suffering of citizens, stressing that this generous support provided by the UAE to the Yemeni people will remain etched in memory .

For his part, Director of the Health Bureau in the Directorate, Dr. Amin Al-Shazli, that the support of the UAE contributed to the revitalization of the health sector and save the lives of Yemeni citizens and alleviate their suffering.
