On Saturday afternoon, the 2019/20 season of SHL (Swedish Hockey League) kicks off. Then Leksand meets Malmö at home. But they have a long season ahead, which above all contains a major challenge: to stay.

Sports manager Thomas Johansson decided early this spring to give the club the best opportunity to establish itself in SHL right this time. Johansson has acquired heavy names with Olympic qualifications, such as the slopes Jonas Ahnelöv and Johan Fransson, as well as the center Patrik Zackrisson.

Archa rival Mora IK's stars Janne Juvonen and Spencer Abbott have also been acquired.
