There are small changes in Novus's latest survey that examined which political issues voters think are most important. Health care remains at the top, followed by integration and migration.

Law and order are ranked third and have gone through school and education, while the environment and climate have dropped significantly - it is now rated as the fifth most important issue.

- A summer in Sweden without record heat but with many reported violent crimes is probably the reason for this, says Novus CEO Torbjörn Sjöström

Environment and climate are dropping

Of the five issues that voters value most, only law and order are not lost in importance. Healthcare has lost six percentage points since the last survey in June - most lose the environment and climate issue by a full nine percentage points.

- The fact that almost all issues lose importance can be caused by a lack of confidence in politics as a tool for solving the problems and a low confidence in political leadership, says Torbjörn Sjöström.

Political leadership uncertain

Novus has also investigated how confident voters feel with political leadership. Only four percent of those surveyed say they feel very secure with political leadership, while a full 28 percent say they feel very insecure.

- If you do not trust in political leadership, the importance of political issues can also decrease. Not because the issues are less important, but because confidence in politics's ability to solve them is falling, says Torbjörn Sjöström.
