Drop-in weddings, queertango, library prides and lectures - a range of activities are offered during this year's Pride in Landskrona, which starts on Saturday, September 14.
- We want to show the diversity that exists in Landskrona. Stan is not huge, but here are LGBT people and people who support us, says Andréa Reuter, one of the organizers behind Pride.
But the message that Sölvesborg no longer wants pride flags at the town hall aroused strong feelings among the organizers during Friday.
- This shows that we cannot take any victories for granted, says Lila Johansson. We must constantly fight for the right to be ourselves and love who we want, she says.
May be the biggest parade
On Saturday at 2 pm, the Pride Parade will depart from Järnvägsgatan in central Landskrona. The goal is Sofia Albertina church, where the gates are open to those who want to be consecrated.
In the church there will also be a rainbow mass on Saturday afternoon.
Diversity in focus
Pride is part of the week-long event Hela Landskrona, a festival that runs between 14 and 21 September.
During the week a series of lectures on the theme of diversity and sustainability are offered. Organizer is Totally Nonprofit, a joint organization for associations and organizations in Landskrona.
