This will depend on the specific situation in the economy and on specific types of industries that need to be talked about one way or another, ”he said during a meeting with Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov.

Earlier, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin evaluated the prospects for the transition to a four-day working week.

In August, Medvedev instructed the Russian Ministry of Labor by the end of September to submit to the government his position on the prospects of introducing a four-day work week.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with the FBA "Economics Today" appreciated this initiative.
