An obscure actor became an overnight talk of Egyptians of all political orientations, after a series of videos broadcast on his mobile phone on accusations of corruption affecting the leaders of the Egyptian army and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Over the past few days, Egyptian actor and contractor Mohamed Ali has become a key meal for eager people to learn more about the secrets of the Sisi regime, especially as he has been a contractor for years working with the Egyptian armed forces.

For days, hashtags topped #Mohammed_Ali, #MohammedAli and #MohammedAli were exposed by Twitter, which saw a huge interaction using images, videos and satirical comments from the regime, as well as the videos of the army contractor millions of views.

The heavy interaction with the videos of the Egyptian contractor prompted the media affiliated with the regime to attack Mohammed Ali severely, and lawyers filed charges against him on charges of working to overthrow the state and mutilating the army, while a businessman allocated a financial reward for those who killed him.

According to activists and followers, the army contractor, who described himself as a small pharaoh, succeeded in increasing the mobilization of Egyptian public opinion against Sisi and his regime, which the Egyptian opposition has not succeeded in the past six years in all its political, revolutionary and Islamic spectrums.

For reasons that seem to be linked to Mohammed Ali's personality and performance, hundreds of thousands of followers are eager to see his videos every day, although it is considered that what he broadcasts things have already been revealed similar to documents and facts by the former head of the Central Auditing Organization (the highest control) Hisham Genena, currently imprisoned.

Followed by the platforms of communication and the official media space and the opposition, find in Mohamed Ali stone stirred waters of stagnant politics in Egypt, after the regime imposed its control with amendments and laws proved its pillars, in return for the fragility of the opposition and the divisions suffered.

Populist speech

Political activist Hossam al-Mutayem believes that Muhammad Ali succeeded by two main factors. The first concerns the nature, form and style of his populist mass rhetoric, which fits the vast majority of the people and corresponds to their general mood.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera Net, Al-Mutayem points out that Muhammad Ali's populist talk can be considered as the added value and the difference between him and the speeches of the various opposition spectrums.

The second criterion for success, according to al-Mutaym, is that Mohammed Ali belongs to a class of people who have mixed with the symbols of the regime, mostly military, which gave him an advantage to gain credibility in the street and gave him an initial acceptance of what he says about the extent of corruption.

This explains that the current moment is conducive to the emergence of the model of Muhammad Ali, where the boredom of the people reached the most severe measures of austerity and lifting of subsidies and high inflation and the accompanying huge increase in prices, according to Altim.

As a result, according to al-Mutaym, Muhammad Ali's direct speech on corruption by the ruling military class became the spark that ignited the wrath of Egyptians and their conversations about the worsening political and economic situation.

Pickaxe demolition

"I don't deny any sane opinion that the influence of Mohammed Ali's videos goes beyond the impact of opposition speech and political symbols on public opinion, which has received popular acceptance unless the entire opposition can recognize it."

He believes in an interview with Al Jazeera Net that "the citizen who rejects the opposition more than his rejection of the regime, responded significantly to these videos, and felt that they represent him and that expose Muhammad Ali fueled popular anger unprecedented."

Shiha links the timing of the release of the videos with the decline of the role of the opposition significantly, as well as the preoccupation with the Alaslnat and squabbling among them, and the busy media media hypocrisy, to fill the videos a vacuum among the people.

Shiha also points out that the departure of Muhammad Ali from the womb of the regime and spontaneity and the simplicity of its introduction and lack of political affiliation with the magnitude of corruption, all helped to accept his videos popular.

Shiha expects that the videos of the army contractor will become a catalyst for the demolition of the wall of power injustice, adding, "It may have a greater impact if the opposition well exploited the videos and left their bickering and devoted to work to develop public awareness."

Regarding the struggles of the ruling wings in Egypt, Shiha asked, "Is Muhammad Ali motivated or supported in some way to be part of the struggle of the sovereign institutions for power, or he works alone?" However, he said, "Whatever the outcome of the result and its impact on the people and fuel the situation of anger and guidance."

Facebook Bubble

Others, however, have warned that Mohamed Ali's nightmare could turn into a mere Facebook bubble, especially if he empties everything into his side.

In this regard, Egyptian politician and oppositionist Magdy Hamdan believes that Mohamed Ali is heading towards this fate, because he was credible when he was spontaneous.

He added on Facebook that he turned to someone trying to attract emotions in a way that does not convince because he did not find the choice of his words or places of criticism.
