FAS urged to ease the ban on beer advertising in Russia

Beer, like domestic wine, needs to ease the ban on advertising. About this, as Interfax reports, said the head of the FAS Russia financial and control department Vladimir Michelovin.

“Beer today, in our opinion, should go next to wine (in the field of advertising. - RT ) and (it is necessary. - RT ) to ease the forbidden restrictions in this direction," he said during the brewers forum dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Union Russian brewers.

According to the agency, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia took the initiative to allow advertising of wine within a radius of 200 km from production sites.

In July, a draft law was submitted to the State Duma, which proposed to allow the use of images of people and animals, which are registered trademarks, in alcohol advertising.

At the end of 2018, as the media wrote, the Ministry of Communications supported the bill providing for concessions for advertising beer.
