Noami Osaka, former world No. 1, announced Thursday night that she was ending her collaboration with coach Jermaine Jenkins, who has been in the post since last February, saying the time has come for a change.

"I'm writing to let you know that Jay and I will not be working together anymore, I'm really grateful for the time I've spent together and everything I've learned on and off the courts, but I feel that the time has come for a change, "writes the winning Japanese of the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open on her Twitter account.

"I appreciate you and will always be warm (in your arms), Nat and Jordan.Thank you for everything," concluded Osaka, beaten in the 8th finals at the last US Open last week.

In February, just after her victory in Melbourne, she had separated from Sascha Bajin, elected coach of the year 2018. Since then, the Japanese, currently 4th world player, worked with Jermaine Jenkins until the announcement of their separation Thursday night.
