The minimum wage (minimum wage) in Russia in 2020 will be 12 130 rubles, follows from the bill of the Ministry of Labor.

On September 12, the document will be considered by the working group of the tripartite commission for regulating social and labor relations, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Labor prepared a project to increase the minimum wage.

The State Duma supported the proposal, noting that due to changes in the cost of food and medicines, it is necessary to revise the indicator upward.

Under current law, the minimum wage should equal the cost of living of an able-bodied person. Every year a law is adopted establishing the minimum wage for the next year.

The basis is the cost of living for the II quarter of the previous year, currently it is 11 185 rubles.
