Peeled by the works council of Aigle Azur, proposals for the takeover of the airline are not unanimous among staff and unions, while the future of the group remains in suspense, in the final straight of the bankruptcy proceedings.

In a financial deadlock, the French airline has received 14 offers of recovery or marks of interest, which it hoped to see improved.

The candidates for the resumption had until Wednesday evening to adjust their offers, said Secretary of State for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.

Some are part of a judicial recovery, while others propose to take some of the activity and staff after the liquidation of the company employs some 1,150 people, including 800 in France and 350 in France. Algeria.

"We position ourselves of course preferably for a recovery," said AFP Loïc Philippot, vice president of SNPL Aigle Azur.

"Not everyone ranks the offers in the same way." The cabin crew, hostesses and stewards, and the young co-pilots rely on the Air France offer, while the ground staff very afraid of this offer, "he added.

Air France has confirmed to AFP have submitted an offer, without giving the content. For some unions, it would be clearly insufficient, the group wishing to liquidate the company then carry out a selection process to rehire some of the staff.

On the other hand, for SNPNC-FO, this proposal would make it possible to offer "perennial jobs" to the personnel of Aigle Azur, underlines the national union in a communiqué.

"The Guérin offer stands out for employees," said AFP a source among employees. The former CEO of Hop! (Air France group) Lionel Guérin proposes to take over all employees, but funding for his project seems less successful, according to internal sources.

The government sees its proposal "a good eye," told AFP a source close to the file.

- An "industrial project" -

Conversely, the unexpected offer of the US fund Cyrus Capital Partners would be very financially solid. The fund "already has a foot in aeronautics", but "they need an industrial project," noted another source among employees with AFP.

Among the other candidates, the Dubreuil group, the majority owner of Air Caraïbes, confirmed to AFP to have submitted a partial offer, also being stingy with details.

Regarding the marks of interest, EasyJet confirmed to AFP "have expressed interest in the operations of Aigle Azur Orly". The company, which did not want to specify Thursday whether it had finally submitted an offer, was however auditioned Wednesday as five other candidates by the works council of Aigle Azur, according to a union source.

Vueling has also expressed interest, according to a union source. The great Spanish actor of the "low cost" is above all interested in the landing slots of which Aigle Azur has Paris-Orly. This is a set of 9,800 annual slots at this airport where the total for all companies is capped at 250,000.

For its part, Aigle Azur did not wish to comment on the offers.

An extraordinary company committee of the company will be held Friday to give an opinion on the final proposals, before a hearing at the Commercial Court of Evry (Essonne) next Monday.

The court can decide in favor of one of the offers. If so, the company would move towards a liquidation.

In receivership, Aigle Azur is in such a financial stalemate that it can neither financially compensate its customers, nor even ensure the repatriation of travelers whose return flight has been canceled.

At the height of the crisis 19,000 passengers found themselves in difficulty, according to the Ministry of Transport. On Monday, 13,000 people were still waiting for repatriation.

With its 11 aircraft, the group transported 1.88 million passengers in 2018, during which time it achieved a turnover of 300 million euros.
