The indoor climate is so bad that artwork has been damaged. At the same time, money is lacking for the necessary investments.
- It's an inferior climate. It is extremely important in the museum context and the exhibition context that you have the right ventilation, the right humidity and the right conditions, says museum manager Susanne Thedéen to P4 Gotland.
The Art Museum is a building monumented former school. In the winter, the staff emptied upstairs and the older art turned out to have been damaged. These works of art are currently being restored.
The art museum is part of Gotland's museum and according to Susanne Thedéen, the art in the future could possibly be displayed in the ancient hall, which is a cooler building.
