Moscow will expand restrictions on US citizens entering Russia after Washington imposed sanctions on two employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. This was announced on Wednesday by TASS Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov.

“We, of course, will accordingly expand our restriction lists for the entry of American citizens to us. We are talking openly about this, ”the deputy head of the TASS department quotes.

He added that as soon as Washington abandons the “vicious practice of expanding such lists,” Moscow will do the same.

The State Department said earlier that the United States is imposing sanctions on two senior officers of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Surgut.

According to the American side, the Russians violated the rights of at least seven detained representatives of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect * by using force against them.
