“South Korea has decided to file a complaint with the WTO regarding Japan’s export restrictions related to the supply of three materials important for the production of chips and displays,” said South Korean Minister of Commerce Yu Myung-hee.
She called Japan’s measures a politically motivated act of discrimination that specifically targets South Korea.
Seoul had earlier announced that Tokyo would be removed from the white list of trading partners in response to the restrictive measures that Japan imposed on South Korea.
