The RTL group intends to develop its online offer and multiply the bridges with its owner M6 to better promote its programs, explained its leaders at a press conference Wednesday.

The Deezer platform has begun to pay a "modest" sum to broadcast RTL's "global deal" stream, and the group is currently discussing with Spotify and TuneIN, according to Regis Ravanas, the new director of audio activities. TF1 group.

RTL also announced that it has engaged in discussions "with other actors" in the sector to launch a common portal of feeds and podcasts. "It will be necessary that there is a Salto in radio as in TV", launched Régis Ravanas with reference to the coming common platform between TF1, France Televisions and M6.

However, this radio aggregator will not be able to offer exclusive programs such as France Télévisions, TF1 and M6, the launch of which is planned for early 2020.

The group of radios will multiply the bridges with M6, its owner since 2017. If some journalists already work for the two antennas, the group should accelerate by simultaneously broadcasting programs on TV and on the radio.

After the purchase of Gulli and RTL, M6 would be interested in an "expansion of the group in the radio", said the chairman of the board of the group Nicolas de Tavernost. In a few years, "there will be more independent actor of reduced size in France" in the radio, according to him.

"The radio will serve as a model for linear TV in the coming years," said Nicolas de Tavernost. "The live, the news will become essential".

The offer of podcasts exclusively for the web ("natives") should have about ten programs by the end of the year, with from Thursday a proposal of journalists Marie Drucker and Sidonie Bonnec on maternity.

On the antennas side, RTL is going green with two new daily tablets devoted to the environment, and a Sunday program with Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

The flagship show of the antenna, "Grosses têtes" by Laurent Ruquier, welcomes "real big heads" like the academician Marc Lambron, the author Frédéric Beigbeder or the "specialist in history" Lorànt Deutsch.

Alba Ventura now leads Yves Calvi's morning interview, more open to culture. She receives politicians "only when it's worth it," said Yves Calvi.

Singer Gaëtan Roussel joined his side RTL 2 for a Sunday show. On Fun Radio, Bruno Guillon remains in the morning for the 9th season and his band invades the grid, with a "warm-up" between 5 and 6am, and most importantly, the return of a show at the time of releases School (16-19h), the "Vacher Time".
