Here the old bank is demolished - replaced by a new office building

In the summer of 2018, the building committee pushed through the plans to demolish parts of the old building. The part of the property that was facing Kungsgatan - S: t Persgatan may leave room for a new, eight storey high, office space. The parking on one side of the bank house will also disappear in favor of the new property.

- There is a huge shortage of office space in central Uppsala. There is virtually nothing that can be rented out anymore, says Claes Larsson, city architect at Uppsala Municipality.

In about two years, you are expected to be ready with the work.
