Dubai prosecutors challenge 13 final verdicts against 'discrimination' within 9 months

The number of appeals filed by the Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, Counselor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, before the Court of Cassation in Dubai on the final verdicts issued by the Dubai courts, during the period from January to September this year.

The head of the first civil section, Khalid Ahmed Zakaria, said that the number of appeals before the Court of Cassation in Dubai amounted to six appeals and seven appeals were decided on discrimination during the same period, and the Court of Cassation overturned six of the judgments of the judgments, including three appeals in civil materials and two In the labor articles and real estate appeal, while ruling rejected the civil appeal.

He added that the duration of the appeals referred to by the Court of Cassation in its various departments did not exceed 30 days for each of the six appeals filed, an indicator that confirms the speed of separation of appeals against discrimination filed by the Attorney General of the Law Department before the Court of Cassation. Stability of judicial principles, by overturning the final judgments, which included violation of the law and error in its application, while benefiting the litigants at the same time, the methods of appeal against the Attorney-General's rights and civil materials.

He pointed out that the number of applications for appeal of discrimination in the final civil judgments submitted to the Civil Prosecution during the first half of this year amounted to 102 applications, while applications for appeal of discrimination to the interest of the law were completed and implemented within 30 working days or less in the first half by 100%.

He pointed out that the number of cases and appeals referred to the Public Prosecution from Dubai Courts for expressing opinion during the first half amounted to 491 cases, including appeals filed by the Attorney General in the interest of the law, by 121 appeals in human rights cases, 259 personal status appeals, 99 appeals, And other appeals in different suits.

He stressed that the index of completion of intervention cases within the time limit set by the court achieved 100% in the first half.
