Connected dresses that undulate, clothes that warm, this is the proposal of an old model, who wants to put technology at the service of fashion and bring women closer.

There is no wind, not even a breeze, but the dress gradually inflates, before returning to its original state. Another dress ends with large silver petals that can straighten up, blooming way.

The connected dresses of Anina Trepte, former German-American model and founder of 360Fashion Network, are intelligent and can change their appearance.

She had already shown some of the creations made through her products in technology shows, including the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai.

But to convince the world of fashion to invest this new field of possibilities, "Net", his nickname, asked two designers to make three models each, presented during a parade on the sidelines of New York Fashion Week.

She made available to them the turnkey kit that she created so that they integrate her technology into their clothes.

New Yorker of British origin, Clare Tattersall has created the dress with petals, and another with metal sheets on the shoulder, a kind of clothing that starts to rustle if someone approaches a not too close

"These designers are the first to test these kits," says Anina Trepte. "The result is phenomenal," she enthuses.

It remains to the fashion sector to appropriate these technologies, he who, although in constant search for new materials, has for the moment kept away from the connected world.

For Clare Tattersall, opportunities already exist in the field of sportswear and, by extension, health, with the integration of sensors that can record data relating to the person who wears it.

Installed for a decade in China, Anina Trepte offers a series of other technology kits to make a warm coat, vibrate a garment with musical notes or make a bag bright.

But the ambition of this dynamic woman with electric red hair goes beyond.

"I'm on a mission to encourage other women to get into technology," said the woman who had to fight to impose the idea of a woman entrepreneur in this environment.

A desire shared by Clare Tattersall, who intervenes in schools to talk technology to girls. "My goal," she says, "is that girls get involved in maths and technology."
