Airline prices in Russia have increased by a quarter since the beginning of 2019

It is noted that the Ministry of Transport is going to take measures to curb rising prices.

Fedor Borisov, chief expert at the HSE Institute for Transport Economics, said the increase in airfare is a consequence of the increase in airline costs over several years, including a sharp jump in fuel prices in 2018.

It was previously reported that in Russia for the first half of 2019, airfare prices increased by 7%.
