The Fujairah Misdemeanor Court has started the case of an Arab woman accused of impersonating a lawyer on social media, publishing her legal card, and pleading guilty to committing the crime under threat.
The lawyer said before the court that the defendant has set up a group through the program «Snapchat» plus a number of members and members impersonating her name and described as a lawyer, and show her lawyer card.
She added that the defendant confessed to herself through audio recordings sent by apologizing to her to withdraw the case, and telling her that she had received an offer from people to discredit her, asking the court to postpone the verdict in order to add new evidence, in addition to pleading herself in the next hearing.
The court faced the accused, who admitted to publishing a photo of the victim's legal card. She has to be a lawyer, and to discredit her and her own law firm.
The court decided to postpone the verdict in the case.
