It was at the end of last week the outbreak of gastric disease at the western school became known. On Friday, 145 of the school's students were on sick leave, most due to vomiting and diarrhea.

Inspectors from the Environmental and Health Protection Administration have taken food samples from the school food and several students have been with the region's infectious nurse and provided samples.

"The answers should come no later than Wednesday, but they can come sooner," says Rector Curt-Åke Larsson.

However, on Monday morning, many of the previously ill-informed children were back at school.

- Today is like a normal day at school. We have 25 sick reports from 400 children, and then there are certainly some parents who also want to be a little careful and keep the children at home an extra day.

- So it both boils well, says Rector Curt-Åke Larsson.
