The Taliban said it would not stop its attacks on Americans unless they stopped attacking them and reached a peace agreement. The Afghan presidency denied media reports about Qatar's alleged role in the Afghan conflict.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Taliban negotiator Suhail Shahin said the group had agreed to invite US President Donald Trump to Camp David, but not before the agreement was signed.

"We will stop our attacks on the Americans only if they stop attacking us and sign the agreement," Shaheen said.

Regarding dialogue with the government, Shaheen told Al Jazeera that if the agreement was signed with the Americans, the movement would consider the government's participation in the Afghan dialogue. Shaheen also said that the agreement with the Americans is based on four axes: the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan, and not to allow the use of Afghanistan's territory against America and its allies, and the launch of internal Afghan talks, and a ceasefire will be on the agenda will be discussed during the Afghan talks.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement yesterday that the Americans would suffer more than anyone else because of the cancellation of peace talks with the Americans, which had been held in Doha for months, adding that it was going smoothly until Trump decided to cancel it on Saturday.

In another context, the spokesman for the Afghan Presidency Siddiq Siddiqui denied what was reported by some media about the State of Qatar and its role in the conflict in Afghanistan.

"The reckless press and totally incorrect and baseless quotes" were attributed to him unless he was told at the press conference on Sunday, Siddiqui said in a tweet on Twitter.

He added, "I strongly reject what Al-Arabiya quoted me," after he was quoted as saying that the Taliban is killing the Afghan people on the orders of Qatar.
