It was at the end of May that children and parents said goodbye to the open preschool in Norre Katts park. After 30 years of activities, the preschool would be discontinued when the municipality of Halmstad implemented savings in the child and youth business - something that aroused strong feelings among parents.
During the upcoming committee meeting at the end of September, the Children and Youth Board will make a decision to terminate the property where the pre-school housed until this spring. But now the Deputy Chairman of the Board Lars El Hayek (S) says that the Social Democrats want to reopen preschool in 2020.
