Prosecutors of the Dda, Mario Palazzi and Ilaria Calò, have asked for a life sentence for Carmine Spada, known as Romoletto, considered one of the leaders of the clan, for Roberto Spada, already condemned for the story of the issue to a RAI journalist and Ottavio Spada, said Marco.

The proceeding is linked to the arrests that took place on January 25th 2018 in which the Public Prosecutor contests the crime of mafia-type criminal association. Among the alleged crimes, depending on the position, also murder, extortion and usury. The prosecution has requested a sentence of 16 years in prison for Ottavio Spada, known as Maciste, at 11 for Nando De Silvio, known as Focanera and at age 8 for Roberto Spada, known as Zibba (the same name as the other for whom the life imprisonment) while for Rubern Alvez del Puerto, involved in the story of the attack on the journalist, a sentence of 10 years was requested.

"Today, the Antimafia pool's prosecutors, Ilaria Calò and Mario Palazzi, after four days of indictment, asked for an exemplary conviction for mafia-type criminal association against the members of the sword clan. We await with hope the decision that the judges will take with the sentence ". This was stated by Massimiliano Vender, president of the Anti-Mafia Association Noi, when he was asked to condemn the Spada clan by the Rome public prosecutor. "Whatever the response - he underlines - we will continue our daily struggle against the clans that have dominated Ostia, now that the inhabitants of the coast are raising their heads and clamoring for the legality that was stolen from them. We started a war against a mafia system, and we have no intention - he concludes - of turning back ".
